Strategy

The Group is pursuing growth through a number of clearly defined strategies, central to which is building international coverage with new or expanded operations in Italy, India, the United States, Argentina and, in due course, China and other Asian markets.

Distribution capabilities are being broadened through regional satellite syndication and by establishing local production and play-out facilities serving Latin America, the United States, India, China and South-East Asia.

The Group continues to develop new formats for applications and interactive programming suitable for emerging media platforms including 3G, IPTV, enhanced broadband, mobile video and wireless broadband services. At the same time, it is committed to leveraging the increasing functionality of mobile phones to deliver more sophisticated applications, appealing formats, and new premium services.

The customer database of approximately one million mobile users is utilised by the Group to improve search patterns to facilitate higher returns for current services and applications, and to encourage increased audience participation by cross-selling products and services directly to users.
